The road trip began on 15 January 2008 when Bryan and Laura Davies set off on a 28 day trip around the North of England in a Hymer motor-home. Their journey took them to numerous towns and cities visiting a variety of people and places. Their route was determined by the recommendations and opinions of people they met along the way as well as users of the Wonderful North website. Bryan and Laura documented the cultural activity on-route and daily blogged their thoughts, findings, and ideas, which are now archived in the road trip blog section of the website.
